This windmill was built in the 17th century entirely made of wood. Since Castilléjar is an excellent area for growing wheat, the Duke of Alba ordered the construction of this windmill, which was active until the 60s. It was refurbished later on and still has the necessary machinery to get back to work. The windmill, which used the strength of the water from the river that runs below it, has two parts: the upper floor, where the grain was separated and the lower part, where it was stored in sacks.
