The Fiesta de la Pascua in Puebla de Don Fadrique is held from 25 to 29 December. This original festivity has been declared a "Festivity of Tourist Interest of Andalusia". Its protagonists are "cascaborros" and "inocentes". The "cascaborros" originate from a rural militia created in the 15th century and whose function was to defend local residents from bandits and enforce order.
