Patrimonio Gastronómico

Puebla de Don Fadrique Municipal Museum

The Puebla de Don Fadrique Museum is located in the old town hall building, a historic building situated in Plaza de la Iglesia (Church Square).

Visitors can learn about traditional crafts through scale model scenes complemented with real objects. The different rooms revive memories of cereal growing, from planting and harvesting to flour milling and bread production, vine growing and winemaking in the winery, the work of sawyers and coal merchants, or shepherds.

You can also visit a room dedicated to the “Fiesta de la Pascua” (held in late December), declared a Festivity of Tourist Interest in Andalusia, with references to its music, photographs and townsfolk dressed in typical costumes worn in the past by the “Cascaborros” (peasants who patrolled the area and defended local residents against bandits) and “Inocentes” (nobles who controlled the town during the Napoleonic invasion).
