Interpretation Centre for Archaeological Sites in Baza

This Centre is located next to the A-92N road where it joins the A-334 - the future “Marble Motorway” as it is known - at one entrance to the town of Baza, just two kilometres from the town centre and with excellent access. It is situated within the hilltop archaeological site formed by Cerro Cepero, the site of the Ibero-Roman settlement of Basti, the Cerro Santuario necropolis, where the statute of the Lady of Baza was found in 1971, and Cerro Largo.

The Centre has more than 700 m2 of exhibition space and state-of-the-art audio-visual technology for museographers. It offers visitors a magnificent opportunity to learn about the social, cultural, economic and religious evolution of the successive cultures that settled in Baza and the surrounding area.
