Rural Vico Cave House has a part formed by a cave from the end of the 18th century and a part of a house built in the 1940s. It has been rehabilitated in 2021 and adapted to groups of family and friends due to its large spaces. since it has eight double rooms and two single rooms, three lounges, four bathrooms and a spectacular terrace. Its extraordinary and comfortable industrial kitchen stands out with a dining area with capacity for 18 people. The accommodation is adapted for people with reduced mobility and has Wi-Fi throughout the facility, even in the cave rooms.
Its rooms with different atmospheres make it possible to adapt to the varied interests of the group such as watching TV, enjoying the fireplaces or traditional games.
It is an accommodation that respects the environment, as can be seen in the decoration of its rooms with restored original pieces, in the use of low-consumption lighting and the natural maintenance of the temperature at a pleasant 20º throughout the year.
Vico Cave House is located in Freila, a small town in the north of the province of Granada, in the center of the Granada Geopark.
It is located in the old town, very close to the church and the Arab castle, in a very quiet neighborhood with a small population and a few meters from the bakery, supermarket, butcher, the sports center and the park for the little ones. In the town there are bars and restaurants of very good quality where you can enjoy the rich local cuisine and delicious tapas.
From this house you can do very varied routes such as getting to know the Gorafe desert, the ravines and waterfalls of Castril, the Sierra de Baza natural park with its wonderful trails, water activities in the nearby Negratín Reservoir, the route of the first settlers from Europe or simply enjoy the experience of resting in a cave with its natural temperature.
