Cave House

Orce Caves

This complex was the final product of rehabilitation and restoration work done on an old cave home neighbourhood. During this transformation process the surroundings, architecture and traditional materials were all respected and preserved.
As a result, all of the homes offer maximum comfort and a design characterized by its brightness and charm. These dwellings are bio-climatic and maintain a constant year-round temperature of about 18-20 degrees Celsius. This keeps them comfortably warm in the winter and refreshingly cool in the summer.

We have caves with one, two or three bedrooms. They are fully-equipped and offer kitchen, bath towels, bed linens, fireplace, hair dryer, laundry room, and a reception desk with information about the area.

People visiting Orce, home to the first settlers in Europe, can learn about the great cultural wealth of the Granada High Plains by visiting the Orce Museum, El Castillo de las 7 Torres (Seven Towers Castle), La Torre del Homenaje (Homenaje Tower), and much more. Visitors can also try the internationally famous lamb from Sierra de Segura.
The identity of this area is strongly influenced by the mountains that surround it. Very near are the Natural Parks of Sierra de Baza and Sierra de Castril, as well as the imposing Sierra de La Sagra and the Sierra de María and Sierra de los Vélez. However, the most memorable part of visiting this area is perhaps the awe-inspiring landscape full of vast plains lined with the green paths of rivers that make their way around the villages of the High Plains.
