Canoes Negratín

The Negratín Reservoir is an enormous sheet of blue water set upon a one of a kind landscape that stands out against the ochre-coloured tones of surrounding rills carved out by centuries of erosion.

Here is a chance to get to know an amazing landscape by doing some light canoeing in calm waters. It’s the ideal sport for relaxing and enjoying nature.

Just half an hour away from the Natural Parks of Cazorla, Castril and Sierra de Baza.We have our own canoeing club, which has a jetty and an asphalted access road that leads right up to the water. There are also air-conditioned wood cabins for rent, a restaurant, and a large terrace with some of the best views of the reservoir.

We will make our way around the Negratín Reservoir, which is the second largest in terms of capacity in Andalusia (more than 550 Hms2, 22 km long). The dam itself is 500 m long and 80 m high. It is the largest of its class in Spain.

The reservoir also offers some spectacular landscapes, immense stretches of rills carved over the millennia, and a reddish colour that will immediately conjure images of the Grand Canyon. This is surely something worth experiencing.
