Orce is the most internationally known town as a result of the discovery of the ‘Hombre de Orce’ remains at Venta Micena in 1982. There are numerous paleontological sites that are over one million years old that are scattered around the town of Orce.
Its historic centre is home to several monuments such as the Alcazaba de las Siete Torres (Citadel of the Seven Towers) and the Los Segura Palace.
