Asociación de Turismo Altiplano de Granada

North of the city of Granada, between the provinces of Almería and Jaén, we find the region known as the Granada High Plains. Located in the areas of Baza and Huéscar, this landscape is formed by immense high plains that were the site of an enormous lake millions of years ago. This area is surrounded by the mountains of the Natural Park of Sierra de Castril, La Sagra, the Natural Park of Sierra de Baza and Orce. This ring of mountainous peaks seems to crown the mysterious ochre-coloured semidesert landscape.
The climate is marked by short and warm summers, and frigid winters that are accompanied by heavy snowfall. The passing of the seasons can clearly be observed in the changing of the landscape.
Through its members, the Granada High Plains Tourism Association works to bring to you all of the available services that it collectively offers. This is represented by a wide selection of Rural Homes, Hotels, Cave Homes, Restaurants, Café-Bars, Arts and Crafts, Active Tourism and much more. The Association seeks to strengthen active participation throughout the entire region in order to offer a collective product of tourism and leisure that makes enjoying the true essence of our towns possible.
